David Verhey serves on the Foursyte leadership team and oversees the growth and operations of the company.  He is a lawyer and a senior policy advisor with broad experience in legal affairs, national security, cybersecurity, advanced technology, and counterterrorism. Over the course of his career in private industry and Government, David has supported a range of sensitive programs and initiatives, including special projects and commercial support for intelligence programs, advisory and assistance support for training and operational initiatives involving Special Operations Forces (SOF), and policy planning in Special and Irregular Warfare. He has also supported the founding of several companies, including FLG Counsel and URSA Mobile, Inc.  

David’s career has spanned almost twenty-five years including stints in private practice and government service. He formerly served as a Senior Advisor and Counsel in the Department of Defense (DoD), where he supported Special Operations Forces, technology development, and classified missions under the direction of the U.S. Navy and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (ASD SO/LIC) / Irregular Warfare Technical Support Division (IWTSD). Prior to joining the DoD, David was a partner in a national law firm, a senior executive in the federal government, counsel to the California Governor, and a trial and appellate lawyer in the Office of the California Attorney General (Civil and Criminal Divisions).  David received his BA in History in 1994 from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his JD in 1997 from the University of the Pacific.  He is cleared TS/SCI.
