Brian Padworski, CPA, is Senior Director for Forensic Accounting & Investigations, where he specializes in forensic investigation support, technical accounting, internal controls (SOX 404), and compliance services. Brian is also the founding partner of Clarksridge Consulting Group, LLC (“CRC”), a specialized forensic accounting and advisory firm in the DC area that supports a range of commercial and regulated customers in the technology and the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industries. Brian’s career spans over 15 years and includes Big 4 leadership experience in audit and risk advisory services in A&D, technology, and professional services. He has experience supporting CFOs, Controllers/CAOs, and other executives at Fortune 500 public companies, law firms, privately held companies, and venture-backed start-ups.
Prior to founding CRC, Brian served as a Director at KPMG LLP where he helped clients with technical accounting, forensic assessments, and technology solutions. Before that he served on the executive management team of an accounting advisory firm that eventually sold to a top 6 national consulting firm. Brian started out his career in public accounting at KPMG and Deloitte, leading both audit engagements and risk assessment services, respectively. He also has provided training in forensic and technical accounting issues, DCAA audit readiness, and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance. Brian received both his B.S.B.A. in Accounting and a B.A. in Music Business from Geneva College. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Virginia, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
